Our contributions towards social responsibility, as we strive to make a positive impact on the world.
Environment
At Clonfert Farm we are aware of the impact our business has on the environment and work hard to reduce our carbon footprint to ensure future generations can enjoy the world we have today. We have wildflower and pollinator areas planted to encourage natural habitats. Photovoltaic solar panels help power our farm and reduce our carbon footprint. We use compostable cups and lids to reduce our environmental impact. We strive to reduce our waste to landfill by using recyclable and biodegradable food boxes.
We believe that the best way to propect our enviornment for future generations is to teach children the importance of sustainabiltiy and the small changes we can all make about looking after our planet. Here at Clonfert we have developed an Education Centre where children can learn about animals and the enviornment using interactive games and videos.
Community
We appreciate our local community and all their support since we established the business in 2009. Showing our appreciation,we have been proud sponsors of many local GAA and Soccer teams over the years. This year in partnership with another local business we bought a new set of jerseys for our local under 14’s GAA team.
In July 2023, we were delighted to host a fundraising event for a very special local girl and frequent visitor to Clonfert. We helped raise €7,500 to help Roisin O'Loughlin on her journey to the US for potential life changing surgery. Further information on Steps for Roisin are available on go fund me page https://www.gofundme.com/f/steps-with-roisin
