Clonfert Farm and mini zoo is a visitor attraction that offers a great selection of farm and zoo animals and a huge selection of activities for all the family to enjoy. There are outdoor and indoor play options with three playgrounds, a football and astro pitch, mini golf, zipline, bouncy castle and indoor play centre. There is also a café serving delicious breakfast and lunch options, as well as plenty of outdoor picnic areas.

Clonfert Farm is located at Clonfert South, Maynooth, Co. Kildare, Ireland, W23 PY05. Situated in the beautiful County Kildare countryside, only 35 minutes from Dublin airport and 8km from the historic town of Maynooth and the M4 motorway.

For general admission tickets can be purchased online or at the gate. On busy summer bank holiday days, it is recommended to book online in advance to avoid disappointment.

Tickets are generally non-refundable and non-transferable as outlined in the terms and conditions when booking.  If however you are unable to attend due to an emergency please contact us and we will try to accoomdate your booking on an alternative dtae. 

No — you can show your e-ticket on your phone for scanning.

Yes, small to medium dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times

Yes — you’re welcome to bring food for a picnic, and there are plenty of seating areas.

Most of the site has tarmac walkways suitable for visitors with mobility issues, and there is an accessible toilet and baby-changing room. Some of the BBQ hut areas and football pitch area are not as accessible. Wheelchairs and mobility scooters are not provided on site, so you should bring your own if needed.

The farm has a wide variety of animals, including farm favourites like guinea pigs, pigs, goats and ponies — and more exotic species such as meerkats, lemurs, geoldi monkey and more.

Outdoor play areas: 3 playgrounds, bouncy castle, mini-golf, zipline, go-karts, astro pitch, football pitch.

Indoor areas: 600 sq ft soft play area.

Yes — the Birdhouse Café offers a range of meals, snacks, and drinks with indoor and outdoor seating. The cafe menu includes hot and cold food selections from wraps and sandwiches to pizza and goujon and chips. 

Yes — Clonfert Farm offers birthday party packages and can tailor the event to your needs.  Visit our birthday party page to check availability and book.

One free carer is welcome for each visitor with additional needs.

Yes — there is a baby-changing facilities on site

Tickets go on sale Friday 25th September 2026 at 12.30pm

Pre-booking is essential, tickets will not be available on the day! All visitors must have a valid ticket for their correct time slot. Please ensure you select a correct time and date when booking. Changing the date/time after booking may not be possible. 

Important - when booking, you chose a time to visit Santa's Grotto, and this will be shown on your booking confirmation. Please check in 15 minutes prior to your selected time at our designated grotto check in area. You can arrive at the farm more than 15 minutes before your selected time and stay as long as you like after your Santa visit, but it is necessary to check in at our grotto area 15 minutes before your selected time.

• Children begin their festive journey by crafting a beautiful Christmas decoration to take home. Whilst waiting children will enjoy a complimentary cup of warm, comforting hot chocolate.
• The journey continues to visit Mrs. Claus to create their very own reindeer food, helping prepare the sleigh team for their magical Christmas Eve flight.
• Afterwards, families are invited into Santa’s cosy grotto for a special one-to-one chat with the man in red himself. The adventure continues with a joyful spin on our festive carousel.
• To complete this unforgettable experience, it’s on to the bustling Elves’ Workshop, where every child can choose a special gift straight from the -shelves.
• Admission to farm, all activities open as normal. As usual some activities are weather dependant.

If you need to cancel a booking for your Santa visit to Clonfert, you can do so as long as the cancellation is made at least 7 days prior to your scheduled visit.

Unfortunately, if you need to cancel your booking within 7 days of your scheduled visit, we will not be able to issue a refund. However, we will do our best to accommodate you with a change in date or time for the event. If this is not possible, we regret that we cannot offer a refund. Tickets may be transferred to a family member or friend.

We kindly ask you to be at our designated santa check-in area 15 minutes prior to your scheduled booking time.  You can arrive at the farm more than 15 minutes before your selected time and stay as long as you like after your Santa visit, but it is necessary to check in at our grotto area 15 minutes before your selected time. If you are running late and miss your scheduled time, we may only be able to accommodate you on a different date and time. 

No. Your booking is not-refundable due to adverse weather, unless the event is cancelled by Clonfert. Please dress appropriately for a farm visit bearing in mind typical Irish weather in December. Warm clothing and appropriate footwear. 

Yes, all areas of the farm will be open and available to visitors.

Please note that the football pitch area is prone to becoming waterlogged, so it may be closed if weather conditions make it unsuitable or unsafe to use.

Yes, if members wish to visit Santa they will need to book tickets. Our members will get early access and a 20% discount code emailed to them on Wednesday, 23rd September.  

The farm will be open for general admission during the Christmas event, so members are welcome to visit. General admission does not include Santa visit and other associated Christmas activities. 

No party/tour bookings will be available to book from Monday 23^rd November 2026 to 3rd January 2027.
