Cafe Chef

Location: Clonfert Farm, Maynooth, Co. Kildare

About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and creative Café Chef to join our team at Clonfert Farm in Maynooth. This is a daytime role focused on delivering high-quality, fresh food in a relaxed, family-friendly environment. If you enjoy working with seasonal ingredients, creating appealing brunch-style dishes, and contributing to memorable experiences for families, this could be a great fit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver a consistently high-quality breakfast and lunch menu
• Design and update menus with a focus on seasonality and local produce
• Plan and cater for children’s birthday parties and group events
• Supervise and support junior staff across kitchen and café roles, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and kitchen organisation
• Manage stock, ordering, and minimising waste
• Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure a smooth customer experience

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a chef in a café, restaurant, or similar setting
• Strong knowledge of breakfast/brunch and lunch-style cooking
• Ability to create simple, fresh, and appealing seasonal dishes
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff
• Experience catering for small events or parties is an advantage
• Good organisational skills and ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
• Food safety certification (HACCP or equivalent preferred)
