Café Supervisor

Clonfert Farm is a vibrant and family-friendly destination offering a unique combination of wildlife experiences and great food. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Café Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our on-site café. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves providing excellent customer service, and has a passion for creating great food experiences. 

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the café, ensuring smooth service and a welcoming atmosphere. 
  • Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
  • Manage and maintain appropriate stock levels, placing orders and monitoring deliveries to avoid shortages or waste. 
  • Develop and update the café menu in collaboration with the team, keeping offerings fresh, appealing, and aligned with customer preferences. 
  • Organize and manage birthday parties and events hosted in the café, ensuring excellent coordination and customer satisfaction. 
  • Lead and motivate café staff, providing training, support, and ongoing development. 
  • Handle customer feedback and address any issues in a professional and timely manner. 
  • Manage cash handling, daily takings, and financial reporting. 
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including front-of-house and kitchen and function areas. 
Requirements: 
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a café, restaurant, or similar environment.
  • HACCP 2 desired but can be provided, minimum HACCP level 1.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills. 
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities. 
  • Ability to manage stock, budgets, and financial reporting. 
  • Creative flair for menu development and food presentation. 
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. 
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure. 
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and during special events. 
  • QQI level 5 or similar professional culinary training
Desirable: 
  • Experience in event coordination or party planning. 
  • Fire and first aid certifications. 
  • Familiarity with animal parks or family entertainment venues.
